The jury had with almost 190 entries from Germany, Austria and Switzerland is not an easy choice. The (very difficult) task for the authors was to portray the "unconditional basic income" into a play.
According to Volker Lösch (Director State Theatre Stuttgart), Enno Schmidt (author and filmmaker), Florian Höllerer (Head of Literature in Stuttgart) and Edith Koerber (tri-stage theater director), six authors the task in very different As best resolved. Therefore, the jury decided to award the prize money equally.
The award sponsor Götz Werner has increased the prize money yet, so that a total of 24.000, - € to go to the winners. Each individual thus receives 4.000, - € prize money.
Mr. Werner is überreichen the prizes to the authors, the citation has Edith Koerber. Following this excerpt from the award-winning texts will be read by the Ensemble Theater of the tri-groynes.
