No! This is only a
me spontaneously when I get to "freestyle" think. For this tank top is an absolutely freestyle project where I've cut almost more than stitched. The optimization experiments lasted the end, while longer than planned, and in the meantime I was very relaxed at it and to throw everything, but now he's finished: the new sweater.
I had a lot of two-tone fleece found me and thought to myself, just cheeky to go to it to cut, without much regard for sectional or loss. Because what goes on dolls, but must work for human children.
My mother has time already shown how for small dolls fast and simple clothes near / cut. I wanted to transfer this technology to several larger numbers. Scissors in hand, the determination of measure equal to cut sweater and next. Free hand. Without a sketch. Without sticking. Without section.
After I sewed the sides - the first try that with a toddler is not so easy. Because often determines the current mood and desire the hop or top of a new (or old) piece of clothing. This time I was lucky. The tank top-blank, yes should have been already completed, was kept on and identified a marker stain with cream cheese. Since I had only won once!
But I had also noticed that the tank top despite the seam allowance, I had given this project freestyle despite all that was too narrow. Fleece happens to be no Jersey (the template). In addition, the sleeves and shoulders, of course, saw a lot of box-shaped. Well, that was done quickly: scissors out again and cut more courageous.
For the length I left only once every (two) seams again, and thought about a new system. I should photograph it! On every page I have two tabs with button hole (ie a cut that was reinforced with sutures on the sides) and sewn on back beautiful turquoise-colored buttons attached. Ha, that looked almost like a chain mail!
Now I wanted to attach crochet to decorate. When I put on the back of the fabric, I liked the buttons now do not get up ... This attracted so terrible on my way from Häkelblume. In addition, the tank top was now much too loose and movable. This was such a point where I wanted to throw the thing in the corner.
But I remained adamant. I had already invested too much trouble. Tabs and buttons were removed quickly, and I sewed up a simple patch in each side, a strip of the same fleece in the fall color. After I sewed half of crocheted flowers and leaves, a task almost as far again. After all this time I was now totally namely sure if I like this project at all if it looks dressed up, if my freestyle plan worked really ... My mother gave me what I needed at the moment: the right feedback and the confidence to try a little something. We tried several variations to make the cut edges.
